Introduction

In the first session, we will introduce ourselves, go over the practicalities and outline of the course, and then dive in and try to use QGIS to make a map.

Objectives

By the end of this session, you should:

1. Know what to expect from this course
2. Know what is expected of you in terms of classroom participation, homework, and evaluation
3. Be familiar with the QGIS software and its basic capabilities
